ADVERTISING SPOT / VFX AND 3D ANIMATION
From the beginning of when we had the Varibericar brand, a leading company in repairing vehicles damaged by hail, we had to create the first Varibot, which would become the mascot of the brand. Since we were going to play with a character that is as strong as a transformer, we had to stay within the same code, so we thought that the best way to show what a vehicle that relies on Varibericar can do would be to create the biggest hail storm in world history in which hail fell as if they were meteorites of ice and destroyed them without fear, as if it were a game. Once the idea was presented, we saw that the best way to produce it was to create all environments and objects in 3D, so we immediately started to realize concepts, storyboard, and a perfectly structured animation, to know exactly how it would look.
The most important thing about a post-production project is a very good pre-production! From Varibericar we were told which vehicle they wanted to use for the spot, within the possibilities we could fully record all the scenes with the real car or perform the scenes in which the car moved in 3D recording only those scenes in which the car had interaction with the actor. Finally we chose the second option, mainly to adjust to the budget, but at the same time it was easier to create all the movements of the car in 3D, having the freedom to put the camera at the desired time and place and thus create the most appropriate environment for the history.
For all this, the 3D model of the vehicle was created at Virtual Art and then animated. In addition it was necessary to create it in 3D to decompose it and create the Varibot from the parts of the vehicle, since we had to see how it was transformed.
