THE BROTHERHOOD

FEATURE FILM FICTION | VFX AND 3D ANIMATION

In the feature film “The Brotherhood” (La Hermandad) we supervise and perform all visual effects (VFX) using all kinds of 2D and 3D techniques, such as: modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering and composition of various objects and virtual scenarios, (light, smoke and fire), 3d particles, digital matte painting, rotoscopy, extension of scenery, camera tracking, Chroma key.

A giant library with thousands of books and chandeliers was completely recreated in 3D, a chapel where there are several virtual characters that burn in flames with digital fire and particle systems or a path full of vegetation where the protagonist (Lydia Bosch) circulates with a car shot in Croma key and a room full of virtual objects where the camera is traveling and we arrive at the broken ceiling by which a storm is entering.

Some of the effects planes we had to do completely in 3D, these would be some examples:

The layout of the library was completely modeled in 3D, since there was no location that was perfect and to construct a decoration of those dimensions was made impossible by the budget; the reason why it was chosen to design it in 3D. In the video above you can see a summary of the processes for the realization of the space.

In this plane we had the difficulty of the movement of camera, to be able to realize it we recorded static to the actress with the bars and everything else we generated it in 3D, both the scene of the statue of the angel and the system of particles that simulate the water.

Here you have a series of images of the audiovisual project.
